- Singles 2/3 Games per Set for Pools
- Singles 3/5 Games per Set for Phase 2 & beyond
- Doubles 2/3 Games per Set until Winners Finals, Losers Finals & Grand Finals, which will be 3/5 Games per Set.
- Coaching is banned
Character Selection:
- If requested, characters for the first game may be chosen double-blind (both players picking their character at the same time, with neither knowing the other’s selection beforehand).
- For all games after the first game in a set, the winner of the previous game chooses their character first, and then the loser chooses their character. Characters are chosen before the stage is selected.
- If a player wishes to choose a random character, that character may remain unknown to both players until the game starts only if the random character pool includes ALL characters.

Starter Striking:
- Both players will do a Best of 1 RPS to determine the order of striking, which is then carried out as follows:
- The winner strikes one starter stage.
- The loser strikes two starter stages.
- The winner selects a stage for Game 1 from the remaining starter stages.
- After Game 1, the winner of the previous game gets TWO STAGE BANS before continuing.
