Unfortunately to bring back events comfortably, CEOtaku 2021 had to be cancelled and transformed into CEO 2021 in December for this year.
CEOtaku will officially return bigger than ever in 2022 so stay tuned!
CEOtaku 2020 Anime Fighting Game Championships powered by ASTRO GAMING will not take place in 2020.
Dear Anime Fighting Game Community,
It is with great sadness that with only a few months until CEOtaku would have taken place and the COVID-19 pandemic still continuing to rise, we will be cancelling this year’s event. This would have been the sixth annual CEOtaku. The event had seen continuous growth thanks to the passion and the AFGC’s expanding communities. Although many states are about to open up, we do not feel we can deliver the event you are expecting safely.
Thankfully, CEO Gaming Inc. won’t be negatively financially impacted by this decision and our venue deposit has been shifted to a future CEO Gaming event. We can confirm, and announce, that CEOtaku will return in 2021 and is signed for September 24-26. Next year’s CEOtaku will be utilizing the entire 60,000 sq ft of available space at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. As we pass the time waiting for the threat of Coronavirus to be eliminated, we will continue to plan and strive for the next iteration of CEOtaku to be its biggest and best yet! We hope you stay safe in the interim so that you can attend it next year.
If you reserved a room at the Wyndham Orlando Resort for CEOtaku 2020, the room will be automatically cancelled by Wyndham staff. Please allow 5-10 days for your cancellation to take place as the Wyndham is currently operating with a reduced staff. Please note that the Wyndham will only be cancelling hotel room reservations made under the group rate. If you booked outside the group please call to cancel your room individually. We will open up the 2021 room block for reservations on a to-be-determined date next year.
Following the successful #CEOnline livestream event a few weeks ago, we are planning another fun community stream on Sunday, September 27, 2020. We will be taking a look back at the last five years of CEOtaku memories on twitch.tv/ceogaming! We’re still keeping an eye open on interest in possible online tournaments to run that same weekend as well, so stay tuned for more info.
Lastly, we are looking into a special CEOtaku themed merch drop to go along with the CEOtaku memories show. You can expect a CEOtaku store online later this year!
