  • CEO Gaming Inc. has a zero tolerance policy toward violence, hate crimes, threats of violence, intimidation, inappropriate contact, harassment (sexual or otherwise), and other forms of personal misconduct. Any incident or threat of violence, harassment, aggressive intimidation, or inappropriate contact of any kind will result in a minimum 1-year to lifetime attendance ban.
  • All Games will be played on default settings, unless otherwise noted below.
  • All Tournament Matches are 2/3 Games unless otherwise noted under a game’s particular rulesets.

  • If a game pauses during play, immediately signal your bracket judge. Unless the Inevitable Defeat condition is met (see below), the player whose controller paused the game will receive a Round loss. The round loss due to a pause could simultaneously result in a game loss if the pausing player’s opponent is on game point, as well as a set loss if the opponent is on set point. If the game does not have rounds, e.g. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, the pause results in a game loss, and could result in a set loss if the opponent is on set point. For games with stocks, e.g. Smash Bros. Ultimate, the pause results in a stock loss, and could result in a game loss if it was the player’s last stock. In the event that the game pause is due to a legitimate hardware malfunction you will be allowed to get another controller and continue the Set, if possible.
  • Inevitable Defeat: The Inevitable Defeat condition comes into play if a pause occurs during a move or animation, and after the game has been unpaused, the round or game ends (i.e. a player is KOed) with no further inputs from either player. If this condition is met, the pausing player will not be penalized a round/game, and the set will continue as normal. For games with stocks, the Inevitable Defeat condition can only apply if both players were on their final stock, with all other pause situations resulting in a stock loss.
  • Bugs & Glitches: Intentionally triggering a bug or glitch that stops the game from being played counts as a loss for the triggering player. Discovering a bug or glitch in a tournament set does not count as a loss. It is at your Bracket Judge’s discretion to determine culpability.
  • If you choose Random Select to pick a character and win the match, you must Random Select your character again.
  • You MUST provide your own controller for the events when competing. You must bring your own converters, Cronus and Chronus Max Wireless converters are BANNED.

Photosensitive Seizure Warning

  • A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these “photosensitive epileptic seizures” while playing video games.

  • Immediately stop playing and consult a doctor if you experience any symptoms.

  • These seizures may have a variety of symptoms, including lightheadedness, altered vision, eye or face twitching, jerking or shaking of arms or legs, disorientation, confusion, or momentary loss of awareness. Seizures may also cause loss of consciousness or convulsions that can lead to injury from falling down or striking nearby objects.

  • If you or any of your relatives have a history of seizures or epilepsy, consult a doctor before playing video games or attending a tournament.

Cosplay Guidelines

  • We simply ask that you follow the guidelines below and please keep in mind that CEO events are all-ages.
    • Fighting Game related cosplays are highly recommended and welcome.
    • Shoes are required at all times for your own safety.
    • Costumes and clothing should not expose the body in such a way as to be deemed indecent exposure. Private parts must be covered in an opaque material that will not slip or have gaps.
    • Costumes worn on the convention floor must not obstruct or impede the flow of traffic or entryways. If the costume cannot fit through a standard doorway, it may not be allowed during general convention hours. Exceptions may be made day-of for Masquerade contestants.
    • Attendees with bulky costumes, costumes that obscure the vision, or costumes with large extensions such as wings or spikes, should have a designated “handler,” to assist them through the hallways and crowds.
    • Functioning wheels cannot be used as part of a costume or prop (i.e. anything that you might ride, push, or pull). We love your creativity, but please save the wheeled costumes/props for your photo shoots.
    • No costumes may be realistic depictions of American law enforcement, current American military uniforms, first responders, emergency medical personnel, or any official government agent. “Vintage,” historical, any non-current uniforms, and any military or police-style costumes may be addressed at the convention’s discretion (i.e., Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, etc.)
    • No weapons of any kind are allowed without CEO Gaming Inc. Staff Approval in advance such as rubber weapons or props. Guns or sharp weapons of any kind are NOT allowed for the safety of all attendees.
