Learn about some of the best, non-CCG, non-LCG, fighting game card games. We’ll introduce the mechanics, some strategy, and talk about their communities. The focus is on Yomi, BattleCon, and Exceed, and we’ll introduce some others as well. Also, win prizes courtesy of Jasco Games!

Bryan Rosander is an experienced BattleCon and Exceed player and has written official character strategy guides for both games.

The purpose to the panel is to focus on the fundamentals of tournament organizing and structuring, as well as answering the questions why we should run events and what do we need to think about when curating them. There will also be a Q & A and open discussion portion that will take up the majority of the time, as well as strategies and proven to be successful tournament structure suggestions.

THE LEGAL BASICS FOR FGC PLAYERS: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, AND ENTITY FORMATION

Ryan Fairchild and David “UltraDavid” Graham will provide a basic overview of key areas of law FGC players should consider: Contracts (including labor and employment law and relevant contractual principles like enforcement and dispute resolution), Intellectual Property (copyright, trademarks, and how those apply as players, content producers, and influencers), and Entity Formation (starting an entity for tax and liability protection purposes). We will take questions throughout but host a Q&A session towards the end.

In a jeopardy game show style format, On the Facts (RETURNS) is a Trivia competition that explores the world of fighting games and its surrounding mythologies. Questions include but are not limited to subjects pertaining to character background information, music, character quotes, manga/comics, and cosplay. 1st place winner receives: $500 2nd place receives: $250 and 3rd place winner receives: $50. Audience participation is welcomed and there is cash incentives for the audience involvement. All cash prizes are supported and sponsored by Goddesses Media.
