GENERAL RULES FOR CEO events

  • All Games will be played on default settings, unless otherwise noted below
  • All Tournament Matches are 2/3 Games unless otherwise noted under their particular rulesets.  Winners, Losers and Grand Finals for All games are 3/5!
  • All Games are run in Double Elimination style, Larger turnouts will be split up into Pool Play with Double Elimination Rules until a Semifinals such as top 32/16 are whittled down to Top 8 For Finals
  • All Macros available via the in-game controller configuration menu are allowed, Example- Tekken Mapping LP+RP to R1
  • Accidentally pausing the game at any time during a match may force you to forfeit the round (Solely at judge’s discretion if there is a player dispute).
  • If you choose Random Select to pick a character and win the match, you must Random Select your character again
  • You MUST provide your own controller for the events when competing.
  • You must bring your own converters, Cronus and Chronus Max Wireless converters are BANNED.
  • Brook Converters are legal and allowed. We have tested them ourselves without any issues. For more information on Brook Converters please visit Arcade Shock here http://arcadeshock.com/products/brook-converter-various-configurations
  • If you use a PS4 Dualshock or wireless controller of any kind, be sure to disconnect or desync it after every match, failure to do so will be grounds for DQ if another match is interrupted.
  • If you are entered into multiple tournaments that possibly happen at the same time, please notify your pool judges to avoid any DQs
  • Coaching is allowed with One 30 second coaching break in a set before games. Coaches must be named before their matches. Coaches are not allowed on stage next to their players during a match.
  • If you have any issues with the tournament itself or tournament play please find the Tournament Director Alex Jebailey during the event
  • Above all else please have fun
  • Collusion of any kind with your competitors is considered cheating. If the Tournament Director determines that any competitor is colluding to manipulate the results or intentionally underperforming, the collaborating players may be immediately disqualified. This determination is to be made at the sole discretion of the Tournament Director. Anyone disqualified in this manner forfeits all rights to any titles or prizes they might have otherwise earned for that tournament.

Our tournament winners will be awarded Custom CEO Championship Belts..  All Top 8 competitors will receive finalist medals for all of our official 11 tournaments.

PAYOUTS FOR OUR 2017 TOURNAMENTS

100% of Game Entry Fees go into their respective Prize Pools.
Percentages below represent the listed player’s cut of an individual game’s prize pool.

Tournament with 64 competitors or more will pay out to the Top 8.

1st Place – 50%
2nd Place – 20%
3rd Place – 13%
4th Place – 7%
5th Place (tie) – 3%
7th Place (tie) – 2%

Tournaments with 256 or more competitors, as well as tournaments with substantial pot bonuses, may utilize different payout percentages. These breakouts will be listed in individual game details when applicable.

POT BONUSES
Pot Bonuses, when provided by developers or sponsors, will be split based on their respective requests.

 

CEO 2017 Game Rules

 

STREET FIGHTER V (PlayStation 4)

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode, 99 Seconds, 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games, No Handicap
  • The top 8 competitors will play 3/5 Matches.
  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.
  • Kanzuki Beach and Skies of Honor stages are banned

ULTIMATE MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3 (PlayStation 4)

  • Game Settings: 99 Seconds, 3/5 Games, Default Handicap, Default Damage
  • You may not use any glitch that prevents the game from being played. This includes game freezing, game resetting, player freezing, dead body infinites, etc.
  • Winner must keep exact same team (including assists), but may switch order of assists via loading screen.
  • Galactus is banned in tournament play.
  • No multiple characters are allowed on the same team.

Tekken 7 (PlayStation 4) Releases June 2nd

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode,  2/3 Games, 3/5 rounds, 99 Seconds
  • Winner must keep same character.
  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

Injustice 2 (PlayStation 4)

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode, default settings
  • 3/5 games for all sets
  • Timer set to 240
  • Winner must keep same character.
  • Loser may switch character
  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

King of Fighters XIV (PlayStation 4)

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode,  2/3 Games, 60 Seconds
  • Winners/Losers/Grand Finals are 3/5.
  • Winner must keep same team and character order.
  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

GUILTY GEAR XRD: REVELATOR (PlayStation 4) Rev2 will be used if out before CEO 2017

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode,  2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games
  • Winners/Losers/Grand Finals are 3/5.
  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

BLAZBLUE CENTRAL FICTION (PlayStation 4)

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode,  2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games
  • Winners/Losers/Grand Finals are 3/5.
  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

KILLER INSTINCT (XBOX One)

  • Game Settings:  3/5 Games, 99 Seconds
  • If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.
  • There will be no customizing colors, names or items at any time before or during a tournament match. Any player that does so will be given a loss.

POKKEN TOURNAMENT (WiiU)

  • Game Settings: Versus Mode,  2/3 Games
  • Only Pokémon Stadium stage is legal
  • CEO Tournament matches will be played on LAN mode with 2 WiiU’s connected. Players must bring their own WiiU Pro Controller or Hori Pokkén Controller.

SUPER SMASH BROS MELEE (GameCube)

  • Game Settings: 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, No Items, Pause Disabled,
  • Top 32 will be 3/5
  • Starter stages: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land.
  • Counter-pick stages: Pokemon Stadium.
  • Wobbling is legal. Freezing and infinite stalling are not legal.
  • First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order.
  • Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
  • Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
  • Any matches that are best of five, there are no stage bans.
  • Maximum allowed time between games is 60 seconds. Any player violating this rule will be issued a loss.
  • You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.
  • Personal Reasons Clause: If for any reason a top seeded player is unable to attend CEO 2017 after registering, staff will attempt to reseed pools only if the TO’s are notified that said registered player can not attend anymore at least 7 days before Tournament start date on June 16th. Once the tournament begins no reseeding or floating after pool play will be allowed.

SUPER SMASH BROS FOR WiiU (WiiU)

  • Game version: US Nintendo WiiU
  • Top 32 will be 3/5
  • Game Settings: 2 Stock, 6 Minutes, Custom Moves Off, Items Off, Equipment Off, Handicap Off, Pause Off, Damage Ratio 1.0x, 2/3 Games
  • Allowed Controllers: Nintendo Gamecube controller, Wii U Pro controller (battery removed method with USB), and Wii Remote variation (player MUST remove battery upon completion of set or will be disqualified)
  • Mii Fighters On (1-1-1-1 Default Guest Miis)
  • Amiibo’s are banned.
  • Stages: Battlefield [Dream Land 64], Final Destination [Ω Midgar, Ω Suzaku Castle and Ω Wily Castle], Lylat Cruise, Smashville, Town & City
  • First stage is decided by (Rock Paper Scissors) best of 1. Winner may choose to either strike a stage first or select a port first. Stages are struck in a P1-P2-P2-P1 order.
  • Following stages decided by winner striking one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
  • Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
  • You may not pick the last stage you have previously won on during the set unless mutually agreed to.
  • You may not play on a stage that is not on the available stages list. This will result in a double disqualification.
  • If a game ends with a self-destruct move, the results screen will determine the winner.
  • Sudden Death with tied percentage/stock will result in a 1 stock/3 minutes playoff match.
  • There will be no loading anything on to the tournament consoles.
